Job Title: Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will apply the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Engage in ongoing education and maintain competency congruent with Southern Health-Santé Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, and the Regulated Health Professions Act.
  • Exercise independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods, and action to be taken on unusual matters.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in both official languages (English/French) is essential.
  • Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba/College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Completion of approved Operating Room nursing education.
  • Knowledge of Professional Standards of Practice, and Code of Ethics.
