Position Overview

As a Controls Lead at Brave Control Solutions Inc., you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality custom automation solutions across various sectors including construction, automotive, and food and beverage.

Your collaboration with project and solution engineers will be essential in executing engineering project tasks effectively, while ensuring any issues or modifications are communicated promptly to the project management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software for PLC, robotic applications, and HMI from the ground up.
  • Implement safety programming measures.
  • Design industrial electrical panels and select appropriate components.
  • Test, configure, and integrate motion control systems.
  • Conduct robotics and automation simulations.
  • Lead debugging and testing efforts.
  • Oversee machine commissioning and startup processes at client locations.
  • Coordinate with specialists to fulfill project tasks and uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in controls engineering or technology.
  • An engineering degree in electrical or mechanical engineering OR
  • A technology diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering.
  • Eligibility to work in both Canada AND the United States.
  • A valid driver's license and dependable transportation.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience in project management.
  • Proven ability to lead teams of 2-5 individuals.
  • Experience in estimating for quotes and proposals.
