POSITION SUMMARY:
The Layout Supervisor plays a crucial role within the on-site team, tasked with the organization, management, and preparation of site layouts for various concrete formwork projects. Reporting directly to the Site Superintendent, the Layout Supervisor's responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the completion and approval of all quality control documentation.
- Facilitating communication between project teams, detailers, and estimating departments.
- Executing technical and administrative tasks related to the layout of grid lines, pour heights, slabs, columns, and beams.
- Adhering to all safety procedures and practices, including maintaining site cleanliness and compliance with WorkSafe regulations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in commercial or infrastructure construction, particularly in formwork, is advantageous.
- Proficiency in operating robotic instruments and laser levels.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with Peri and Doka systems is a plus.
- Understanding of AutoCAD is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively.
- Capacity to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision, while also being a collaborative team player.
- Strong ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Effective communication skills, especially under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to performing tasks with high accuracy.
- Possession of personal protective equipment (PPE), fall protection gear, and relevant certifications.
- Ability to work outdoors in challenging weather conditions and lift weights of at least 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Dependable with reliable transportation to job sites.
