Job Title: Technical Producer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Producer to join our team at CBC/Radio-Canada. As a Technical Producer, you will be responsible for managing the human, technical, and physical resources required for news productions. You will also be in charge of planning, directing, organizing, and monitoring those resources. Additionally, you will represent management on internal production sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage production resources, including personnel, equipment, and facilities
  • Plan, direct, and organize production activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of content
  • Represent management on internal production sites and provide technical guidance to production teams
  • Develop and implement production strategies to meet business objectives
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure high-quality content is delivered on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • Community college diploma in audiovisual studies, communications, or other relevant field
  • Five years of production experience, including three years in team or staff management
  • Understanding of digital production and technical tools required for news production
  • Extensive knowledge of production operations and technical tools required for news production
  • Personnel management skills, project management skills, and solid command of health and safety standards
  • Client-service skills and good team player
  • Good knowledge of spoken and written French, with proficiency in English an asset
