Meet Your Future Team: The Raw Materials Development (RMD) Team is dedicated to commercializing seasonal performance textiles and trims that surpass industry standards. We develop innovative material palettes for each product category, aiming to create brand icons that endure for years. Our achievements stem from our extensive knowledge, commitment to excellence, and timely material solutions, all in partnership with our supply chain collaborators.

If you were in the Trims Materials Specialist 2 role now, here are some of the responsibilities you would undertake:

Delivering high-performance trims and technologies for our performance categories. Developing and validating trims in accordance with seasonal briefs from the Design and Raw Materials (RM) Sourcing teams, ensuring the highest quality standards align with our Supply Chain strategy. Exercising resourcefulness when addressing supply chain challenges. Providing technical insights to Design and Product teams regarding trim manufacturing and performance, as well as vendor capabilities. Communicating effectively with internal and external partners to facilitate decision-making and ensure timely delivery. Ensuring new developments adhere to our preferred material guidelines to achieve sustainability targets. Maintaining organization and precision within digital workspaces. Building and enhancing mill partnerships within our supply chain to meet trim specifications. Updating leadership on the status of trim development. Initiating and overseeing seasonal wear testing in collaboration with our wear test team. Operating and training on in-house lab equipment to document and inform performance attributes and test results.

Are you the right fit for the Trims Materials Specialist 2 role?

You possess 3+ years of relevant industry experience in materials and trims. You hold a degree or diploma in Materials Science, Textile Technology, Product or Industrial Design, or have equivalent industry experience. You have a solid understanding of the design and development process from inception to final adoption. You are well-versed in trims and construction. You have a comprehensive understanding of trims manufacturing processes, including dyeing, finishing, printing, and molding. You have prior experience in materials laboratory testing. You effectively balance independence and collaboration across multiple teams. You work well with diverse networks of internal and external cultures and teams. You demonstrate strong organizational skills and can manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and PLM systems. You can physically handle small boxes and rolls of fabric. You remain flexible and adaptable in the face of ambiguity. You inspire innovative thinking and continuous improvement. You are committed to finding the best solutions while adhering to ethical standards.
