Position Overview
The HR Manager will cultivate partnerships across the HR function to provide valuable services to management and staff. This role will offer guidance and direction on all HR-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer advice and consulting services to employees and managers on various people processes, including coaching, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, interpretation of HR policies, and compliance with employment legislation.
- Facilitate mediation sessions and conduct workplace investigations.
- Collaborate with managers to provide ongoing performance improvement guidance in line with organizational policies, including coaching, counseling, and managing performance issues.
- Serve as the primary contact for HR matters, ensuring the delivery of responsive and effective HR services and solutions.
- Develop a strong partnership with clients by gaining a deep understanding of their business needs.
- Act as an employee advocate to address workplace relations issues and meet organizational requirements.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and recommendations on complex HR challenges.
- Lead the job evaluation program and manage the grade structure.
- Drive annual salary benchmarking, survey participation, results analysis, and implementation.
- Manage relationships with benefits program vendors and oversee annual renewals.
- Assess market competitiveness of benefits offerings and recommend enhancements.
- Champion wellness and mental health initiatives.
- Contribute to the talent management strategy to support team engagement, succession planning, and development.
- Work with department managers to identify recruitment needs.
- Collaborate with talent acquisition on recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Support the interview process to influence hiring decisions and job offer details.
- Facilitate change management processes, assisting leaders and team members in understanding and supporting organizational changes.
- Identify strategies for continuous improvement in employment practices, policies, job descriptions, and operational processes.
- Collaborate with external employment legal counsel on litigation matters, providing recommendations on legal actions within the scope of authority.
- Engage in other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field.
- CHRM / CHRP designation is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical/GMP setting.
- Experience in a culturally diverse, multi-location work environment.
- Ability to adapt quickly and manage change in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical HR skills, with expertise in problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, capable of preparing reports, presentations, and recommendations for various audiences.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with discretion in handling confidential information.
- Skilled in consulting, influencing, and partnering with leaders to develop and execute people strategies that enhance business performance.
