Position Overview

The HR Manager will cultivate partnerships across the HR function to provide valuable services to management and staff. This role will offer guidance and direction on all HR-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Offer advice and consulting services to employees and managers on various people processes, including coaching, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, interpretation of HR policies, and compliance with employment legislation.
  2. Facilitate mediation sessions and conduct workplace investigations.
  3. Collaborate with managers to provide ongoing performance improvement guidance in line with organizational policies, including coaching, counseling, and managing performance issues.
  4. Serve as the primary contact for HR matters, ensuring the delivery of responsive and effective HR services and solutions.
  5. Develop a strong partnership with clients by gaining a deep understanding of their business needs.
  6. Act as an employee advocate to address workplace relations issues and meet organizational requirements.
  7. Provide one-on-one coaching and recommendations on complex HR challenges.
  8. Lead the job evaluation program and manage the grade structure.
  9. Drive annual salary benchmarking, survey participation, results analysis, and implementation.
  10. Manage relationships with benefits program vendors and oversee annual renewals.
  11. Assess market competitiveness of benefits offerings and recommend enhancements.
  12. Champion wellness and mental health initiatives.
  13. Contribute to the talent management strategy to support team engagement, succession planning, and development.
  14. Work with department managers to identify recruitment needs.
  15. Collaborate with talent acquisition on recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  16. Support the interview process to influence hiring decisions and job offer details.
  17. Facilitate change management processes, assisting leaders and team members in understanding and supporting organizational changes.
  18. Identify strategies for continuous improvement in employment practices, policies, job descriptions, and operational processes.
  19. Collaborate with external employment legal counsel on litigation matters, providing recommendations on legal actions within the scope of authority.
  20. Engage in other HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related field.
  2. CHRM / CHRP designation is preferred.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical/GMP setting.
  4. Experience in a culturally diverse, multi-location work environment.
  5. Ability to adapt quickly and manage change in a dynamic environment.
  6. Proficient in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  7. Strong analytical HR skills, with expertise in problem-solving, facilitation, and conflict resolution.
  8. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, capable of preparing reports, presentations, and recommendations for various audiences.
  9. Sound judgment and decision-making skills, with discretion in handling confidential information.
  10. Skilled in consulting, influencing, and partnering with leaders to develop and execute people strategies that enhance business performance.
