Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our production team at NOV Inc. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will play a critical role in the assembly, testing, and repair of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and test a variety of mechanical components using standard and non-standard tools and equipment.
- Read and interpret technical specifications, diagrams, and instructions to ensure accurate assembly and repair.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and improve production efficiency.
- Operate rigging equipment, forklifts, and other machinery safely and effectively.
- Participate in regular shop organization and cleanliness exercises to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Train new employees in assembly operations and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Complete and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Familiarize yourself with safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with shop maintenance requirements and supply your own tools as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must demonstrate aptitude in mechanical assembly, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
- Shop environment with possibility of exposure to dust, fumes, or gases.
- Physical demands include squatting, bending, lifting 60lbs, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, reaching, twisting, crawling, climbing, and working near moving equipment.
