Construction Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team at Covertite Eastern Ltd. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Estimate Preparation: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs, taking into account various factors such as project scope, timelines, and budget constraints.
- Blueprint Analysis: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure accurate estimates.
- Estimate Reporting: Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms to stakeholders, highlighting key project details and costs.
- Communication: Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors to discuss changes and adjustments to cost estimates, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Supply and Contractor Management: Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Education: College/CEGEP degree or equivalent.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in estimating software and tools.
This is a permanent position, working 44 hours per week. The work language is English.
