Job Title: Principal SRE, Data Infrastructure

F5 is a leading provider of application delivery networking solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Principal SRE, Data Infrastructure to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned SRE with expertise in data infrastructure engineering to design, build, and operate large-scale cloud-based and on-prem data systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, cloud architecture, and data engineering, with a focus on security and scalability.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement large-scale data systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
  • Provide cloud architecture mentorship and implement cloud orchestration solutions to support product capabilities
  • Continuously improve processes and reduce toil using automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Participate in on-call rotations to respond to critical incidents
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in technology, with a focus on DevOps, SRE, or data infrastructure engineering
  • Expertise in cloud architecture, data engineering, and security
  • Strong experience with databases, data pipelines, and data visualization tools
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go
  • Experience with public cloud platforms, such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
  • FedRAMP compliance experience
  • SOC2 or CIS compliance
