We are seeking a skilled Rubber Moulder Operator to join our team at Produits American Biltrite Ltée. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the processing of rubber materials.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and Maintain Machinery: Set up, operate, and tend machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding, and curing rubber materials or rubber products.
- Product Inspection: Check and monitor product quality, ensuring that all products meet our high standards.
- Training and Development: Train or assist in the training of other workers to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
- Material Preparation: Lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly, ensuring that all materials are properly aligned and ready for production.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Product Assembly: Operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, splice, fit, and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products.
- Finishing Operations: Operate finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind, or buff rubber products into final form.
- Defect Identification: Identify and mark defective products for repair or recycle.
- Material Loading: Load or feed rubber, pigments, filler, oil, and chemicals into machines, ensuring that all materials are properly aligned and ready for production.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Certifications: Forklift Operator Certification.
- Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, ability to distinguish between colors, and working in a fast-paced environment.
