About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Rubber Moulder Operator to join our team at Produits American Biltrite Ltée. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery used in the processing of rubber materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Machinery: Set up, operate, and tend machinery used for mixing, calendering, extruding, moulding, and curing rubber materials or rubber products.
  • Product Inspection: Check and monitor product quality, ensuring that all products meet our high standards.
  • Training and Development: Train or assist in the training of other workers to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
  • Material Preparation: Lay out and prepare rubber materials for assembly, ensuring that all materials are properly aligned and ready for production.
  • Quality Control: Inspect finished rubber products for defects and conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Product Assembly: Operate machines or equipment to cut, shape, splice, fit, and cement rubber materials to form rubber parts or finished rubber products.
  • Finishing Operations: Operate finishing machines or equipment to trim, grind, or buff rubber products into final form.
  • Defect Identification: Identify and mark defective products for repair or recycle.
  • Material Loading: Load or feed rubber, pigments, filler, oil, and chemicals into machines, ensuring that all materials are properly aligned and ready for production.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: Forklift Operator Certification.
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, ability to distinguish between colors, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, organized, reliable, and a team player.
