The Role

We're seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge data-driven solutions. As a Data Scientist at Stripe, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes and make strategic decisions using data.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop machine learning models to drive business growth and optimize operations
  • Collaborate with product teams to integrate data-driven insights into product development
  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Communicate results and insights to stakeholders through clear and actionable recommendations
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data science and machine learning
Requirements
  • 2-8+ years of experience in data science or quantitative modeling
  • Proficiency in SQL and a computing language such as Python or R
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in machine learning, statistics, and optimization
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver results
  • Ability to communicate complex results clearly and drive impact
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with a high attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience deploying models in production and adjusting model thresholds to improve performance
  • Experience designing, running, and analyzing complex experiments or leveraging causal inference designs
  • Experience with distributed tools such as Spark, Hadoop, etc.
  • PhD or MS in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Sciences, Operations Research)
What We Offer

At Stripe, we offer a competitive salary range of C$140,000 - C$262,600, depending on location and experience. We also provide equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
