Job Title: Clinical Practice Consultant - Professional Practice

Fraser Health is seeking a Clinical Practice Consultant - Professional Practice to join our team. As a key member of our Professional Practice team, you will play a critical role in advancing quality clinical practice and promoting safe, ethical, and quality health outcomes for patients, clients, and residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide practice consultation leadership and guidance to clinicians, managers, and directors to ensure Fraser Health is a leader in clinical care and a professional practice environment.
  • Offer practice assessment, advice, and problem-solving for complex practice challenges.
  • Collaborate with Directors, Professional Practice to develop implementation plans that support compliance with legislation and regulations for the appropriate professional group(s).
  • Oversee and support projects and initiatives, incorporating change management and knowledge translation considerations.
  • Maximize health human resources utilization by facilitating full scope of practice for all categories of health providers.
  • Recommend and lead or contribute to the development of new clinical policies and procedures.
  • Obtain, review, and disseminate current information, including Professional Standards of Practice, Professional Scope of Practice, Ethical Standards of Practice, and Limits & Conditions.
  • Partner with various internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize, develop, deliver, and/or coordinate practice education programs.
  • Represent Fraser Health and Professional Practice at various events, including educational family forums, professional associations, regulatory bodies, and external committees.
  • Collaborate with various professional practice councils to support practice development in Fraser Health through the development of multidisciplinary and discipline-specific clinical tools.
  • Network, understand, and support all professional practice council structures and related clinical groups.
  • Support clinical research to promote the development of clinical knowledge and its application to professional practice.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved clinical health profession with a Master's degree in that health profession or in health administration, education, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years' recent, related clinical and/or education experience in a complex health care environment, including progressive professional practice, education, project management, and leadership experience.
  • Current practicing registration with the relevant regulatory college or association in British Columbia.
