Retail Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Laxmi Convenience and Grocery Store. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and motivate a team of sales workers, apprentices, and design team members to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively allocate tasks and responsibilities to ensure seamless store operations and maximize sales potential.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a skilled team of sales workers and design team members to meet the needs of our customers.
- Authorize Payments: Manage and authorize payments by cheque, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stockouts.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Monitor and direct the activities of sales workers, design team members, and other staff to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive store environment.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Regularly evaluate the performance of sales workers and design team members, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve skills and productivity.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Retail business, supermarket/grocery store.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Outlook.
- Area of Specialization: Retail store.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, client focus, team player.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
