About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Alpine Glass Windows & Doors Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality glass installations for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Repair
    • Install glass doors, windows, and other glass products in commercial and residential settings
    • Repair and replace glass doors and other glass structures
  • Site Preparation
    • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure precise fits
    • Position and secure panes in frames
  • Equipment Operation
    • Operate glass cutting equipment, including cutting wheels and automatic finger pull machines
    • Use manual cutting techniques for curved cuts
  • Health and Safety
    • Work at heights and in outdoor environments
    • Follow safety protocols for handling heavy loads and operating equipment
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in glass installation and repair
  • Certifications and Training
    • Working at heights training
    • First Aid Certificate
    • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Physical Demands
    • Physically demanding work environment
    • Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
