About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Trican. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our heavy-duty equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others by following all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Read and interpret diagrams and schematics to perform work procedures.
  • Operate hoists and lift devices to position machinery safely.
  • Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues.
  • Service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced operators or apprentice maintenance personnel.

Requirements:

  • Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification is required.
  • CVIP is considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 1 license preferred; will consider Class 3 or 5.
  • Heavy Equipment Technician will be an asset.
  • Safe driving skills; driver's abstract will be requested.
  • Physically fit – heavy lifting required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
