Position Overview

Doctor Repainting Inc is seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in painting and finishing, with a focus on both interior and exterior surfaces.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role.
Work Environment
  • Work is conducted outdoors and at heights.
  • Exposure to various odours is expected.
Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces prior to painting.
  • Repair any cracks and holes in surfaces.
  • Mix paint to achieve the desired colour and texture.
  • Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to both interior and exterior surfaces.
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with airless spray equipment.
  • Proficient in brush painting techniques.
  • Skilled in conventional spray painting.
  • Ability to use roller painting methods.
Surface Preparation Skills
  • Experience in drywall taping and patching.
Specialization in Coating/Application
  • Knowledge of multi-color finishes.
  • Experience with powdered coatings.
  • Ability to perform dipping and paint spraying techniques.
Physical Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as required.
  • Must be physically capable of performing demanding tasks.
Weight Handling
  • Must be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Additional Information
  • Own tools and equipment required, including steel-toed safety boots.
  • Work term is permanent with hours ranging from 30 to 44 hours per week.
