Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring that all cargo is properly secured and accounted for.
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage.
  • Documentation: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as complete accident or incident reports and maintenance and repair reports.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with central dispatch and other team members to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, reliability, and a team player attitude.
