We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Utility Specialist to join our team at Essity. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials within our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, including presses and compactors.
- Perform tasks related to product handling and storage.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Utilize communication, quality, teamwork, and computer skills related to the role.
- Ensure adequate disposal of waste materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Participate in the improvement of safety, work methods, and operational efficiency within the sector and/or department.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum secondary five education or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Previous experience in logistics, expediting, or warehouse operations.
- Ability to work with computer systems and software.
- Valid forklift operator certification (an asset).
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic mechanical knowledge.
- Attention to detail and precision.
- Effective communication skills.
