In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of freight between various locations. Your primary duties will involve operating a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, 5-ton trucks, and shunt trucks, to ensure timely delivery and pickup of goods.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate company vehicles and material handling equipment to transport freight between warehouses, depots, and customer locations.
  • Collaborate with dispatch to resolve any issues that may arise during routes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Accurately scan freight upon pickup and delivery to maintain accurate records.
  • Load and unload freight at customer locations, ensuring proper handling and security of goods.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Class 1 (F+M) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience operating Class 1 vehicles.
  • Successfully complete all required driving tests, including theoretical and practical assessments, as well as defensive driving training.
  • Demonstrate fluency in French.

Physical Demands:

This position requires the ability to lift and lower up to 70 pounds.
