Job Title: Corporate M&A Lawyer

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate M&A Lawyer to join our team at The Counsel Network – a Caldwell company. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in advising our clients on complex M&A transactions and corporate commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with drafting and negotiating legal documents, including M&A agreements and commercial contracts.
  • Advise business managers on deals and day-to-day legal issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
  • Collaborate with our team to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with M&A transactions.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting M&A transactions and corporate commercial matters.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in corporate M&A, gained at a top law firm or company.
  • Strong technical and drafting skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Good standing with a Canadian Law Society.
  • Experience in corporate law beyond M&A, such as securities, financing, and general corporate commercial, is considered an asset.
