About the Role

Pacific Aerobarrier Systems Inc is seeking a skilled Insulation Mechanic to join our team. As an Insulation Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining insulation materials in various buildings and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Planning and Execution
    • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
    • Measure and cut insulating materials to required shape and dimensions using hand and power tools.
  • Insulation Installation and Maintenance
    • Apply and secure insulation using various application and installation methods, including spraying, blowing, pasting, strapping, taping, and other approved techniques.
    • Fitting insulation around obstructions and between joists and studs to ensure a tight seal and optimal performance.
    • Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials to protect buildings from moisture and fire hazards.
    • Remove asbestos, ceramic fibres, lead, and mould and urea-formaldehyde insulation materials from buildings, following strict safety protocols and regulations.
  • Quality Control and Assurance
    • Inspect and test insulation installations to ensure they meet industry standards and company quality expectations.
    • Identify and report any defects or issues with insulation materials or installations.
  • Health and Safety
    • Work in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to company health and safety policies and procedures.
    • Report any hazards or incidents to management immediately.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with other teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in insulation installation and maintenance.
    • Language
      • English language proficiency.
    • Work Environment
      • 40 hours per week, permanent position.
