DMC Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Project Architect who is prepared to guide and motivate. You will serve as the primary mentor and coach for our technical team and junior architects, utilizing your outstanding communication and leadership abilities to steer projects from conceptualization through to execution and beyond.

Your confidence and expertise will enable you to engage effectively with clients and consultants, ensuring that project timelines are adhered to and objectives are accomplished throughout the project lifecycle. Your capacity to make independent, project-focused decisions and oversee your team will be essential to your success.

You will collaborate closely with the Principal team, keeping them informed on all project developments, while ensuring your team is aware of goals, milestones, and deliverables. You will act as the liaison between client requirements and project results, ensuring that every project not only meets but surpasses client expectations, all while maintaining a focus on profitability.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Lead Project Architect, your objective is to deliver exceptional architectural designs that stand out. Here’s what your responsibilities will include:
  • Design Oversight: Oversee the design process from inception to completion, ensuring the highest standards in every project.
  • Project Coordination: Keep projects on schedule by managing scope, adhering to timelines, and ensuring financial success.
  • Team Leadership: Develop project strategies, delegate tasks, and ensure timely delivery from your team.
  • Financial Management: Manage profitability, invoicing, and accounts receivable, providing critical insights during project evaluations.
  • Quality Control: Uphold design and technical excellence by adhering to our quality assurance protocols and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Business Engagement: Collaborate with the Marketing Lead and Principals to create proposals and presentations, actively contributing to securing new projects.
  • Staff Development: Lead, train, and mentor junior personnel, fostering a culture of growth and creativity.
  • Client Relations: Ensure client satisfaction by providing practical, cost-effective solutions that maintain design integrity.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in architecture with eligibility for registration with AAA.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a talent for coaching and mentoring.
  • Exceptional communication skills to effectively guide projects and teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of project management, including scope, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • A mature, innovative approach to addressing architectural challenges.
  • A solid technical background, particularly in Revit, is highly advantageous.
  • A passion for creative thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent sketching, computer, and conceptual design abilities.
  • Proven track record in leading architectural teams to success.
