Millwright Specialist

About the Role
Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Millwright to join our team at our Bradford facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and assemble machinery, using hand and power tools, to ensure safe and effective operation.
- Relocate and position equipment, using hoists, dollies, and trucks, to facilitate efficient installation.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Dismantle machines using hammers, crowbars, wrenches, and other hand or power tools, and construct foundations for new equipment using building materials.
- Align machines and equipment during installation, using hoists, jacks, squares, ruler, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
- Use a lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to match specifications.
- Assemble machinery and equipment by bolting, welding, riveting, or fastening them to pre-built foundations.
- Repair problems associated with new equipment and fabricate new machine parts if original parts are missing or damaged.
- Identify and correct problems found in machines, equipment, or processes to facilitate production.
Requirements
- Industrial Millwright Certification 433A
- Experience in Manufacturing Industry (Automotive experience an asset) with experience working on Stamping Presses
- Basic Electrical Knowledge
- Ability to detect, isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery and equipment
- Able to fabricate new parts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance, or overhaul
- Thorough knowledge of load bearing capabilities of the equipment to be installed, assembled, or dismembered
- Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications
- Ability to weld and operate all shop equipment and perform basic machining practices
- Working knowledge of progressive and transfer die protection
- Working knowledge of in-house hydraulics and mortgaged written and verbal communication skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Ability to work - 3 Rotation shift
