Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Helper to join our team at Imperial Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will assist our experienced mechanics in performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist mechanics in performing routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and filter replacements
  • Help with repairs, including diagnosing and fixing problems with diesel engines and heavy equipment
  • Operate tools and equipment, such as wrenches and hoists, to assist with repairs
  • Signal safety procedures to other workers and to the general public
  • Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
Requirements
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Manual dexterity and ability to lift heavy loads
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Team player with excellent communication skills

Work Environment

Our shop is a fast-paced, physically demanding environment where you will be working with heavy equipment and diesel engines. You must be comfortable working in a dusty environment and be able to lift heavy loads.

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work
