About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Tool Development Engineer to join our ML SDK team Installer tool team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing and developing installer tools used with AMD Instinct Accelerators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Installer tools for new AMD GPU/APU products
  • Design and expand build tool functionality to support new HW, SW or OS specifications
  • Reproduce, debug and resolve issues with specific hardware and software contexts
  • Develop and implement test applications and quality assurance programs
  • Work with cross-functional teams to further increase the solution lead between AMD and the competition
Requirements
  • Strong Shell/Python Scripting skills
  • Working experience in developing installers/deployment tools & Packaging tools
  • Linux System admin experience is an asset
  • Troubleshooting ability to triage and root cause issues
  • Experience developing software in Linux environment including commonly used tools
  • Familiarity with open source and Linux community development practices and collaboration
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Familiarity with Git, Remedy, Jira
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
