Job Description

Job Title: Senior Business Solutions Architect

Job Summary:

Thales Group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Solutions Architect to join our team. As a Senior Business Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for documenting and maturing processes for the Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship and Joint Support Ship In-Service Support (AJISS) program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Business Analysis team within AJISS responsible for process definition and maturity;
  • Collaborate to the definition and refinement of processes based on end-user interviews / workshops or pain points gathered from within AJISS and/or within the DND/RCN;
  • Apply LEAN techniques, including Value Stream Mapping, to assess enterprise process maturity;
  • Responsible for formulating value propositions in preparation to engagements with sponsors / customers;
  • Responsible for delivering requirements, pain points and opportunities through analysis of existing tools, processes and data;
  • Liaise with the AJISS Team in order to ensure coherence in the messaging to the AJISS Customer;
  • Contribute to the development of VECPs per the approved AJISS template, which includes a description of the change proposal, its benefits, a cost breakdown and a general notion of value proposition;
  • Recommend how to promote a collaborative and innovation culture to DND/RCN and across the AJISS Enterprise.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or a relevant discipline;
  • 12+ years of experience documenting business processes and system requirements;
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience within the last 10 years leading Business Analysis activities or workshops in a large scale project;
  • Proven problem solving and analytic skills with a track record of successful outcomes;
  • Recognized for ability to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization;
  • Must be flexible, adaptable and willing to learn;
  • Capable of developing strong relationships across the business through excellent customer service;
  • Experience in business / enterprise architecture;
  • Experience in developing business strategies;
  • Experience in a Navy or Aviation maintenance context;
  • Practical experience in design thinking / design workshops.
