About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Teacher to join our team at Eugene Reimer Middle School, a diverse learning community that empowers students to succeed. As a Character Champion, you will play a vital role in teaching students the Abbotsford City of Character virtues: Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Empathy, Courage, and Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Middle school philosophy and curriculum to students
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote character development and academic excellence
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve group goals and objectives
  • Utilize balanced assessment and feedback to improve student learning
Requirements
  • Teacher training and practicum at the Intermediate/Middle level
  • Experience teaching at the Intermediate/Middle level
  • Eligible for B.C. Certification
  • Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reports

The Abbotsford School District offers a competitive salary range of $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications.
