Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer in Test to join our Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC) software development team. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software features to run on various Arista switches. Your expertise in software engineering, networking, and testing will enable you to make significant contributions to our team and help us deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software features to run on Arista switches
  • Test and debug software features to ensure high-quality and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and understand functional and technical requirements
  • Develop automated tests for software features and monitor their execution
  • Triangulate and fix problems found by automated tests
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in software engineering, networking, and testing
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices
  • Experience with C, C++, and/or Python programming languages
  • Knowledge of UNIX or Linux operating systems
  • Understanding of L2/L3 networking concepts and protocols
