Select People Solutions is seeking a skilled Power Engineer to join our team as a Senior Mechanical Systems Operator. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various mechanical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and operate equipment such as boilers, pumps, and dryer systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move materials and products as required, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Stack and organize materials neatly to maximize storage space and facilitate inventory management, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks such as picking orders, packing products, and conducting inventory counts as required, providing support to the facilities team.
- Valid 5th Class Power Engineering Certification (4th class certification considered an asset)
- Steel-Toed Boots
- Ability to lift over 20kg
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to relevant regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
- Experience operating a forklift
- Experience in food manufacturing
- Experience in Process Operations
