The role of a Culinary Support Assistant involves various essential tasks within the kitchen environment, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of cleanliness.

Educational Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in loading buspans and trays for service.
  • Thoroughly scour pots and pans to maintain hygiene.
  • Package food for take-out services efficiently.
  • Portion and wrap food items for storage and service.
  • Utilize both manual and electrical appliances for cleaning, peeling, slicing, and trimming food products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in appropriate storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers.
  • Manage kitchen waste by removing garbage and trash regularly.
  • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
  • Prepare vegetables and fruits by washing, peeling, and cutting as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
