About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cashier at Tedds Food Mart & Esso Gas Bar. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the Point of Sale System: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet customers, respond to their inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock and Maintain the Sales Floor: Restock shelves, face merchandise, and maintain a clean and tidy sales floor to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Participate in Promotional Activities: Participate in sales promotions, product demonstrations, and other in-store events to drive sales and engage with customers.
  • Verify Customer Age: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple transactions and tasks simultaneously, and maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train the right candidate.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
