About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Lead to join our team in Calgary. As a key member of our Corporate Development team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative sustainability strategies that drive business growth and minimize our environmental footprint.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainability reporting and related publications, including data gathering, content development, review, and graphic design management.
  • Manage the development of our sustainability data and performance tables, including GRI, SASB, and UN SDGs.
  • Evaluate and execute our sustainability strategy in conjunction with the Sustainability Leadership Committee.
  • Coordinate meetings, collate feedback, and follow up on action items stemming from ongoing strategy discussions on sustainability.
  • Organize events and learning opportunities to engage employees on sustainability.
  • Collaborate across the company to identify, implement, and advance sustainability initiatives, providing project management support as needed.
  • Support the completion of Equitable Origin certification and sustainability performance targets.
  • Provide monthly updates for our Sustainability Leadership Committee on evolving trends and key topics.
  • Partner with key SMEs to develop sustainability goals and KPIs, and monitor progress.
  • Support our emissions management team as needed, including GHG reporting, net-zero planning, and emission reduction targets.
  • Represent us at conferences and industry group meetings, including CAPP, MMRV, MERC, and ESSLI.
  • Provide communications support as needed, including sustainability-related website updates and social media posts.
Subject Matter Expertise
  • Enhance our annual sustainability report and disclosures to meet current and emerging regulations, including ISSB and CSSB.
  • Conduct best practice research to analyze the North American and global sustainability landscape, and help us continue to evolve our sustainability performance.
  • Monitor and track evolving public policy discussions, as well as current and emerging legislations and regulations related to sustainability and our business.
  • Champion a high-performance sustainability culture and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Projects
  • Collaborate and provide expertise on the implementation of our Stakeholder Engagement Strategy.
  • Run biennial Materiality Matrix assessments.
  • Maintain and evolve our specific SDGs.
  • Support on Equitable Origin certification.
  • Create annual Sustainability Report.
  • Develop relevant policies, strategies, and corporate statements.
  • Maintain sustainability content and Equitable Origin requirements on our website.
  • Support key ESG key messaging throughout the organization.
  • Support emissions reduction planning.

Qualifications
