Project Manager
Reporting directly to the Commercial Division Manager, the Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of assigned projects. This role encompasses the entire project lifecycle, from initial award through design, production, and installation, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints. Key responsibilities include:
Educational Background
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or Engineering;
- Project Management Professional Certification is advantageous.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
Work Environment
- Office-based with site visits;
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory for site work;
- Health and Safety training is essential;
- Flexibility to work overtime as necessary.
Essential Skills
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to interpret architectural drawings;
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and familiarity with relevant products and systems;
- Capability to mentor Project Coordinators;
- Experience managing multiple large-scale and complex projects;
- Effective communication skills with colleagues via various channels;
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, and other internal software;
- Exemplification of core values and teamwork;
- Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
Project-Specific Responsibilities
- Thoroughly review project specifications and identify discrepancies to ensure accountability;
- Develop and maintain project schedules highlighting critical milestones;
- Facilitate meetings with relevant stakeholders to discuss project scope and requirements;
- Conduct thorough reviews of shop drawings prior to engineer submission;
- Proactively identify potential issues and propose solutions;
- Ensure timely communication of final specifications to purchasing to prevent delays;
- Prepare regular project status updates for stakeholders;
- Coordinate with team members to address site deficiencies and maintain project timelines;
- Attend scheduled meetings to ensure alignment with project goals;
- Lead project teams to achieve objectives and meet client expectations;
- Maintain a six-week look-ahead schedule post-approval of shop drawings;
- Collaborate with finance to prepare necessary documentation for project valuation;
- Represent Accoravillage in professional interactions with clients and partners;
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Division Manager.
