Your Contributions to the Team
As a Machine Learning Analyst, your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with experienced Machine Learning Engineers (MLEs) to develop and implement machine learning (ML) solutions tailored to Bombardier's organizational needs.
- Assisting in the deployment of ML models within the production data science environment, adhering to best practices, pipeline controls, and maintaining thorough documentation.
- Contributing to the creation of tools for monitoring the machine learning lifecycle and providing visibility into the system's execution flow.
- Participating in the design, implementation, and optimization of maintainable and reusable ML services that enhance Bombardier's data and advanced analytics capabilities.
- Assisting in data analysis, processing, and modeling, and helping interpret results to develop actionable plans that positively influence Bombardier's operations.
- Working on configuring robust environments that manage data and microsystem connections, facilitating ML workflows.
- Collaborating with Artificial Intelligence (AI) team members, learning agile project management methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and application lifecycle management practices (e.g., test automation, configuration management).
- Engaging with users and business stakeholders to gather requirements and feedback to maximize value for the business units.
- Contributing to the implementation of continuous integration and deployment methods to automate quality assurance and the delivery of new functionalities to ML solutions users.
- Providing support for troubleshooting and enhancing existing ML products.
How to Excel in This Role
To thrive in this position, you should possess:
- A strong interest and experience in analytics, data science, and computer engineering.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and a willingness to gain experience in this area.
- Experience using advanced analytics tools, particularly those offered by Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Machine Learning).
- A background in developing machine learning algorithms.
- A willingness to learn about Docker, software packaging, and the ML production lifecycle.
- Familiarity with software architecture and modular software development, with proficiency in Python being essential. Knowledge of PySpark is a plus.
- Experience with Linux scripting or PowerShell scripting.
- An interest in agile project management and application lifecycle management, including familiarity with Azure DevOps or GitLab.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
