Senior UX Designer Opportunity

A leading global financial firm in Mississauga, ON is seeking an experienced Senior UX Designer to join their team on a contract basis.

About the Role

This is a hybrid schedule opportunity that requires reliable internet, computer, and mobile device access for remote work. The candidate will be expected to work in the office three days a week, depending on team requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Craft design briefs in collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams, defining problem spaces, strategic business objectives, and design hypotheses.
  • Conduct global UX best practice analysis, drawing insights, identifying design conventions, and shaping UX principles for design ideas.
  • Define design direction using standard UX process methodology, including writing How Might We statements, defining Jobs-to-be-done, and others.
  • Shape visual design ideas, taking them from low-fidelity exploration to high-fidelity definition in collaboration with technology partners.
  • Collaborate with a community of UX designers to co-create UX patterns and refine product UX solutions.
  • Collaborate with UX research specialists to guide usability inquiries and overall strategic research priorities.
  • Socialize design standards through community presentations and workshops.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have confidence shaping visual design ideas in high-fidelity and prototyping, with the ability to demonstrate the process and logical reasoning behind each idea. Experience working with Design Systems is desired.
