About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Instrumentation and Controls Specialist to join our team at Tetra Tech. As an Intermediate Electrical I&C Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, installing, and maintaining Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems for industrial installations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Perform conceptual and detail engineering of I&C systems, including I&C equipment sizing, selection, and specification.
  • Documentation and Drawing Preparation: Provide input to the Drawing Office for preparation of various I&C related engineering drawings, such as General Arrangements, Instrument Loops, Wiring and Connection diagrams, Bill of Materials (BOM), etc.
  • Customer Interaction: Maintain effective customer contact to enhance working relationships and assist I&C Leaders and Manager with definition and monitoring of work scopes, deliverables, schedules, and budget.
  • Technical Support: Participate in walk-downs at client facilities, assist in providing responses to technical inquiries from clients, technical reviewers, and regulatory agencies, and prepare purchase requisition, review technical content of supplier bids and technical submissions.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of technical information and design documentation in accordance with the Company QA programs and manuals.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic/Electromechanical Engineering and PEO membership.
  • Experience: 5 years of engineering experience in design, installation, maintenance, and operation of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems, conventional and state-of-the-art design of Safety Instrumented System (SIS) for industrial installations.
  • Skills: Familiarity with PLC's, assorted communications network protocols, power supplies, transducers, PID controllers, relays, and power distribution devices, and experience with nuclear power station electrical and control system design.
  • Soft Skills: Well-developed communication, planning, and work organization skills, ability to work in an integrated team environment, and to effectively interface with employees at all levels, and external customers.
