About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Care Centre Relief to join our team at Umbrella Family and Child Centres of Hamilton. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality childcare services to children aged 12 months to 12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and implement developmentally appropriate experiences to enhance children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development in accordance with Ministry of Education's How Does Learning Happen.
  • Supervise children in your care at all times and maintain a safe, warm, and caring environment.
  • Organize indoor and outdoor play areas, space, equipment, and materials to create a welcoming environment.
  • Conduct daily checks on each child in your group and complete documentation as required.
  • Work collaboratively with the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty to provide age-appropriate developmental activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1-year experience working directly with children or related experience in a childcare setting.
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
  • Member in good standing with the College of ECE's.
  • Standard First Aid with CPR level C and satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
  • Proof of up to date immunization for TB, Tetanus, and MMR, as well as COVID-19 vaccinations.
