The Payroll Administrator is responsible for a comprehensive array of payroll functions, which include executing payroll processes, onboarding new employees, managing terminations, updating employee information, and generating payroll reports. The role requires maintaining confidentiality and effectively collaborating with colleagues in a dynamic, multitasking environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

Processing payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly basis. Addressing inquiries related to payroll. Generating Records of Employment (ROE). Handling payroll deductions. Calculating and exporting mileage and earnings. Preparing remittance and payroll documentation.

The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate:

A desire to pursue certification through the Canadian Payroll Association. Relevant post-secondary education in payroll is considered advantageous. A keen attention to detail with a strong affinity for numbers and data entry. The ability to thrive in a multi-tasking environment. Strong interpersonal abilities. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. A commitment to confidentiality and adaptability. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Previous experience in the trucking sector is a plus. Familiarity with Great Plains Software and TMW is beneficial. Experience in an office environment with additional payroll expertise is an asset.
