Nursery Labourer

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit individual to join our team at Local Nursery Ltd as a Nursery Worker.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our nursery, including tasks such as budding trees, greenhouse cleaning, and weeding.
Key Responsibilities- Budding trees and guiding growing shoots into optimal development positions
- Greenhouse cleaning and maintenance
- Weeding and pruning trees, shrubs, and plants
- Mixing fertilizer and preparing soils
- Planting bulbs and seeds, potting and re-potting plants
- Transplanting seedlings or rooted cuttings
- Applying fertilizers and reporting signs of insect or disease damage
- Assisting in grafting activities and digging up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs
- Watering and tending to plants, lawns, and/or gardens
- Cleaning the work area
- Experience in a similar field of employment is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
- Physical ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods
- Reliability and ability to work as part of a team
- Work site environment: Floriculture production, outdoors, wet/damp, hot, non-smoking
- Work setting: Rural area
- Garden tractors
- Irrigation pumps and equipment
- Mechanical sprayer
- Own transportation required
- Public transportation is not available
- Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
