Family Support Professional

Bridgeway Family Homes is seeking a highly skilled Child and Youth Care Practitioner to provide goal-focused services to families, children, and youth who are experiencing social, emotional, behavioural, and academic challenges.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced individual to provide services between 20-40 hours per week, including weekday evenings, weekends, and occasional daytime sessions. As an Independent Contractor, you will be part of a collaborative team that provides services in Foster Homes and the community.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Provide scheduled, goal-focused services to families and individuals, including developing and implementing goal-focused activities
  • Maintain accurate case notes, reports, and administrative tasks
  • Transport children/youth while providing services, ensuring their safety and well-being
Qualifications
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in a social service discipline (e.g. Child and Youth Care, Developmental Service Worker)
  • Experience providing services to children/youth and/or families with diverse needs
  • Current Verbal De-escalation Certification and experience in crisis prevention
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of FASD, ODD, autism, ADHD, anxiety disorders, and other diagnoses is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organizational, administrative, and report-writing skills

  • Current Child Welfare Record Check
  • Driver's Abstract, Class "G" Driver's License, and access to an insured vehicle with $2 million liability insurance
