We are seeking a skilled Buyer to join our team at Mircom Group of Companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for acquiring goods and services needed to satisfy the manufacturing department goals, while minimizing shortages and inventory costs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Acquire goods and services to meet inventory needs while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
* Reduce part costs while improving quality and delivery times.
* Expedite goods delivery when necessary.
* Negotiate with vendors to maintain positive relationships.
* Find new and alternative suppliers for existing and new components.
* Execute on MRP plans for Purchase Orders.
Requirements and Skills:
* University, College, or Technical Post-Secondary education.
* Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
* 1 to 3 years of purchasing experience.
* Experience with AX or D365 systems is an asset.
* Experience negotiating with suppliers.
* Superior analytical skills and ability to develop recommendations and strategic solutions from data/information.
* Well-organized and able to balance multiple competing priorities and deadlines.
* High sense of urgency and ability to prioritize needs.
* Team player.
