About the Role

Tetra Tech Canada Inc. is seeking an Electrical and Electronics Design Technologist to join our team. As an Electrical and Electronics Design Technologist, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical and electronic systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Interpret blueprints and other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation, read blueprints to determine work requirements, and assist in design, development, and testing.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Supervise the building and testing of prototypes, assist in building and testing prototypes to specifications, and calibrate electronic equipment and instruments.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics, collect and compile operational or experimental data, and conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems, and complete work orders, test, and maintenance reports.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technologies/Technicians or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical and electronic engineering technologies/technicians or related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
