Job Summary

Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. is seeking a part-time High School Chemistry & Biology Teacher-Tutor to join our team. As an Interactive Coach, you will work directly with students to help them develop their self-confidence and self-esteem in Science subjects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach up to 3 students at a time at different levels
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Filling in post-lesson notes
  • Completing daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or similar certification in Sciences
  • Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
  • Teaching certification an asset
  • Good knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior Chemistry, and Biology
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) level
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Strong math skills and ability to guide students' understanding
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
