About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Electrician to join our team at West Fraser Mills Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and mitigating electrical hazards
  • Ensure consistent operations of all electrical equipment in the sawmill, including PLC systems
  • Verify and document repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities
  • Monitor product quality and provide feedback to improve processes
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to prevent downtime
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues with various pieces of equipment
Requirements
  • Electrical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Red Seal Certificate and valid Journeyman or Inter-Provincial Electrical Certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work weekend and/or shift work as required
  • Valid BC driver's license
  • May consider 3rd Year Apprentices
