We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Instructor to join our team at Northern Safety Solutions Inc. As a Health and Safety Instructor, you will be responsible for training students in practical shop work sessions, preparing teaching materials and outlines for courses, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Training and Education: Develop and deliver training programs to students on health and safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
- Course Preparation: Create and maintain up-to-date teaching materials, outlines, and resources for courses.
- Workplace Safety: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by identifying and mitigating potential hazards, and implementing control measures.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with students, colleagues, and management to ensure a smooth and efficient training process.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Work Setting: Business and/or industry.
- Work Schedule: 8 to 40 hours per week.
- Transportation: Own transportation, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel.
