We are seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at Puddicombe House Inc. as a Retail Butcher. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning meats to prepare for processing or cutting, cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat, removing bones from meat, cutting fish into steaks and fillets, training meat cutters, making special sausages, and working in a permanent position with a 30 to 35 hour workweek.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Preparation: Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting, ensuring high-quality products for our customers.
- Meat Cutting and Trimming: Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat to meet customer demands.
- Meat Processing: Remove bones from meat, cut fish into steaks and fillets, and perform other meat processing tasks as required.
- Training and Development: Train new meat cutters to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Special Sausage Production: Make special sausages to meet customer preferences and demands.
- Work Environment: Work in a permanent position with a 30 to 35 hour workweek, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Language: English language proficiency is required.
