Job Summary

The Host/Hostess is a vital member of our Canucks Bar and Grill team, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and seat them at an appropriate table, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting tables and refilling condiments.
  • Assist with cash handling and operate a point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely food delivery and exceptional customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including cleaning, restocking, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
