Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to join our vibrant Food and Nutrition Department. Our mission is to ensure that our Residents enjoy nutritious and appetizing meals, prepared and served with care. If you are enthusiastic about making a positive impact on the lives of our Residents through quality food service, this position may be ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhering to safe food handling practices, including proper storage and labeling.
- Assisting culinary staff with basic food preparation tasks.
- Delivering meals in accordance with established dietary guidelines and protocols.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate.
- Experience in the hospitality or restaurant sector, or completion of a Food Service Worker course.
- A genuine passion for serving others and providing compassionate care.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality care in a long-term care environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A clear Police Record check with Vulnerable Sector search completed within the last six months.
Availability: Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
