The role of the Senior Inspector is critical, as it encompasses both office and field responsibilities. The office duties align with those typically associated with an Administrative Assistant, ensuring the efficient operation of the field office, which serves as a communication and records hub for the Contract Administrator, Project Manager, and other field personnel. The individual in this position must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage deadlines independently, and the capacity to perform under pressure while being familiar with field construction processes.
The Senior Inspector must fulfill the qualifications of a senior-level technician (RCSI designation) and will be expected to execute inspection duties in the field as necessary.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold certification from OACETT for the RCSI designation.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines independently and effectively manage pressure.
- Have a solid understanding of field construction activities.
Additional experience requirements include:
- Proven experience as an Office Person on four or more similar MTO or municipal projects, with at least two projects valued at no less than $10,000,000.
