The position is based in a retail and wholesale distribution center, which may involve working in dusty conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain cleanliness in both the shop and warehouse areas.
- Perform essential clerical tasks to support inventory management.
- Facilitate the pickup and delivery of materials as needed.
- Process documentation and manage paperwork efficiently.
- Provide accurate information regarding available materials.
- Handle international purchase orders from initiation to completion.
- Source price quotations from various suppliers and catalogs.
- Prepare and process purchase orders effectively.
- Address and resolve delivery issues and other supplier-related challenges.
- Establish and maintain an effective inventory control system.
- Verify stock availability and reconcile physical inventories with system counts.
- Compile and analyze inventory reports for management review.
- Ensure proper stock rotation and monitor inventory levels.
- Unpack and verify goods received against packing slips.
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word is essential for this role.
Transportation RequirementsHaving your own transportation is necessary for this position.
